Additional Info
The Local Service Committee (LSC) is a group of representatives from Narcotics
Anonymous (NA) groups in the Surrey area. They work together to support NA’s
presence in the community. The LSC oversees two subcommittees: Hospitals and
Institutions and Public Information. These subcommittees bring NA meetings to
those who cannot attend such as in treatment centers or hospitals, provide information about NA to the public, and
collaborate with local medical professionals. The LSC also coordinates and supports
local NA groups in service projects such as pharmacy poster campaigns, information
booths at festivals, and meetings in prisons. As a vital link between individual NA
groups and the larger NA community, the LSC plays an essential role in the NA
service structure. In-person LSC meetings are important for building relationships
and discussing outreach efforts. If you’re passionate about helping those struggling
with addiction and spreading the message of recovery, consider joining the LSC.
